The Kykkos Monastery
The Monastery, similarly to the Kykklos Castle, is the crucial point of the trip. It is one out of three the oldest monasteries in Troodos, it possesses a large exhibit collection and wonderful architecture.
It is worth going to the monastery located in the west of Pedoulas village to watch a rich collection of liturgical objects and Cypriot historic monuments of the past exhibited in the monastery’s museum. On the premises of the monastery there is also one of three preserved icons attributed to Saint Luke.
Apart from the Kykkos Monastery we encourage you to see less impressive, but however also interesting Trooditissa (situated in the north-west from Platres) and Mesa Potasom (also next to Platres).
