Salt Lake, The Lake on the Akrotiri peninsula

The lake covers quite a large part of the peninsula. In summer it dries out and turns into an attraction for the enthusiasts of off-road cars. In winter the lake is full of water and attracts flamingos – in the past a numerous population decreased to about 3,000 specimen, but in spite of this fact, it is still a worthy aim of the trip.
