Kolossi Castle
It is a good idea to visit the castle, which was previously the abode of Crusaders and the order of the Maltese Knights. This castle, that was built in the eleventh century, was risen to the rank of the Commandery, so the name of the famous wine produced in this vicinity derives from the name of the castle. The past seat of friars was rebuilt in the fifteenth century, and today we may admire the new shape of this building which was destroyed and as a result of the Muslims and Genoese invasions.
